Mortal Kombat 1 is slated to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Nintendo Switch on September 19. Mortal Kombat 1 ushers in a new era of the icon. This seems to be showing some kind of connection to Kronika who played a huge role in Mortal Kombat 11. Discover a reborn Mortal Kombat Universe created by Fire God Liu Kang. Then, we zoom in on a single grain of sand until it explodes. In the teaser, we are inside an hourglass with sand falling. The first trailer for Mortal Kombat 1 confirms the return of some familiar faces: Shang Tsung, Liu Kang, Raiden, Scorpion, Kitana, Mileena, and Sub-Zero. Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon is the last to thank everyone, says that more is coming, and then we get a roughly 10-second teaser. The team launched a video thanking fans for 30 years of the franchise. NetherRealm Studios recently gave them just the tiniest of teases. Mortal Kombat 12 was announced earlier this year during an earnings call and fans have been hoping for basically any news.
